Fifteen years of conveyancing files teach you exactly where sales die and tenancies go wrong: the unanswered enquiry, the notice served a day late, the licence nobody knew the property needed, the deposit never protected. Almost none of it is bad luck; nearly all of it is the gap between the agent and the law. We built the agency to close the gap, running every tenancy and sale alongside practising solicitors, the way a lawyer would want to inherit the file.
That heritage shows in small ways that turn out to be large: fees in writing before work starts, statutes cited by name when we tell you what the law is, and no claim on this site that we could not evidence to a regulator.
We will not pretend to be the biggest agency in Nottingham, because we are not, and the number of a competitor's branches has never sold a house. We will not pretend to hundreds of managed properties, portfolio jargon, or a wall of awards. We are young as an agency, established as a group, and growing at the speed accuracy allows. The clients this suits tend to be the ones who read a fees page before a photograph, and we built the site accordingly.
Trent Estate Agents Limited, company 15095323, is the agency: sales, lettings, management, auctions, business sales and sourcing. Trent Law Solicitors is the law firm, authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and in practice since 2011: conveyancing, commercial property, business sales and disputes. Trent Finance Limited is the broking arm, operating as an Appointed Representative of Dragon Brokers Limited, trading as The Dragon Network, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm reference 599430. Separate businesses, common ownership, one group, and the connection disclosed to every client, with no referral fees passing between them.
The agency has traded since October 2023. The group behind it, Trent Law Solicitors, has been in continuous practice since 2011. We would rather state both dates plainly than round either of them up.
Yes, in the sense that matters: no franchise, no corporate chain, decisions made in Nottingham by the people whose names are on the work. We are part of a family of three firms in common ownership, which we disclose everywhere it is relevant.
Three things you can verify rather than take on trust: our fees are published in full, our lettings and sales are run alongside a firm of practising solicitors, and we offer services, overseas landlord management with licence holding among them, that it is very rare to find advertised elsewhere.
